From Private until Colonel (check USMC ranks) the rank is based on your number of posts. Ranks above Colonel are special/staff only, and are given as follows:

• Brigadier General (1 star General) - special/VIP
• Major General (2 star General) - moderators
• Lieutenant General (3 star General) - global moderators
• General (4 star General) - administrators
• Commandant of the Colonial Marine Corps (5 star General) - site owner
