Aliens vs Predator DLC 'already in creation'

Playable DLC for Sega's upcoming Aliens vs. Predator is already being created - as developer Rebellion admits it's keen to make a sequel, reports CVG.

In their exclusive interview, Rebellion co-founder Jason Kingsley told CVG he was confident that AvP would prove itself as a 'game of the year' - and that his studio would like to play with "lots of unanswered questions" in a sequel to the title.

"We're absolutely [working on AvP DLC]," he told CVG.

"We're in the phase where we enter submissions. The teams are having a break and coming up with ideas... We're discussing things with Sega at the moment. The amount of DLC will depend on Sega's commercial requirement, but we'd definitely love to do a lot."

When asked about creating a sequel, he replied: "We've learnt a lot doing this game and we can really build on this and go further than what we've done so far.

"You always have to draw the line at some stage and polish what you have, get the frame rate up and get the gameplay working brilliantly. But there are a lot of ideas we came up with that we just couldn't fit in."

Sounds like Sega is saying ‘We want to see how good the game does first before we commit resources to DLC’.

I,m hoping for an expansion rather than DLC, because If the DLC is going to be something similar to those three pre-order skins then..., LOL.

A rogue predator or something like that starring the predator campaign in the expansion could be cool..., I don,t know, an outcast predator who was there at the incident way before the main one arrived, and whose actions had a terrible impact on the events at Freya,s prospect.

I don,t know, this pred could have been looking for a special prey such as a praetorian or something like that, have one or two encounters with the pred hero..., etc.

hey guys gearbox did this too (borderlands) they said that DLC would be coming 2 weeks before the game was relesed and then in a month they relsed it, and then a month after that they relesed another one.

I don't care that they relsese DLC to make money (as long as it is not thrown together) but when it becomes unessesary, (in my opinoin their is to much for Gears of War 2) as long as Sega dosn't release 10 crappy DLC's then I won't mind (I know that sounds odd, I hate Sega, but Now i am defending them)
