really?, well in the past the alien was just the opposite to the thing you describe. It was actually a much more slower HUMAN LIKE (not bug like) creature that, not only was stronger than anything you can imagine about, including predators, It,s just that It could not be killed by any means (famous Ash,s quote), and that,s why It was called the perfect organism among other things, not just because It could rapidly adapt to any environment(Ash,s words) plus surviving in a vacuum.

I don,t know, but I think there,s no way a pred (or anybody It doesn,t matter) can kill something that can,t certainly be killed, and in the hypothetical case of the predator being stronger than a creature, which is not only TALLER and bigger in size than the predator (the A L I E N, not the things you see on the avp films and games nowadays), I mean, an indestructible being, then?, what would you want your strength for?

I have heard of Shusett's suggestion that the acidic blood is a plausible way to make it seem unkillable, but that isn't the same thing. I can't recall ever reading, hearing nor seeing anything about the xenomorphs being completely indestructible.

And I disagree that it was stronger, you don't really have anything concrete to base that on. The original alien matched a predators height at 7'2", but it was both slimmer and slower, and that still makes it inferior in my eyes.

But anyway, this is sort of a moot point, isn't it? The alien franchise has long since abandoned this design.

This doesn't mean it does not exist. IMO it was the Alien in it's purest form, it's most "accurate" presentation. And, including the head, it was 7'8", the Predator was still 7'2", and who cares if it is slimmer? I am only like 120 - 130 pounds and I knocked a 200 pound dude on his ass! Not saying the Predator weighs more, but still...

Not exploding, dying or whatever while exposed to 5600ºC plasma degree (the creature was even fighting to get into the ship again through the engine xD) is enough of a proof. period.

Get over It guys, Cameron wanted to make a film based off on the novel from the fifties called "starship troopers",(now that rings you a bell right?) and sadly used the aliens as the original "arachnids".

Don,t misunderstand me, no movie like A L I E N could have got a better sequel, was a wonderful movie, the last stand and the atmosphere was outstanding, the alien queen, etc, but sadly Cameron screwed everything up in regards with the most important thing of all, and I mean, the A L I E N.

The alien couldn,t be killed by any means = Ash,s words = CANON, and back on topic this means that the predator, barbie, Rambo, He-man, skeletor, Ken, Chuck Norris, whoever you want = LOSES
