I'm not going to go THAT strong, but still, Preds are definitely strong, more so than a Human, I'd probably equate them to a powerful ape, which is much stronger than an average man, and I'd say Aliens can lift 10 tons or more easily, seeing the dog alien, Dragon, whomever you call him, leapt out of ten or so tons of boiling hot lead with little problem and he was at the bottom of it. >.< You know that takes immense leg, torso, and assuming he used his arms as leverage, bicept and tricept muscles. Not to mention Xenos probably weigh more than an unarmored Pred, having that thick tail and big head of theirs, not to mention those exoskeletons as thick as starship hulls. (exaggeration)
I think one main drawback of the Alien might be it's weight, assuming the exoskeletal feature would crush most man-sized organisms (probably why we don't see crabs the size of dogs) the Alien would probably have an endo skeleton countering the immense pressure of the exoskeleton, which, to add good protection, would need to be atleast 5 of so pounds, and then endo skeleton would weigh around 200, most likely, plus the muscular and organ systems, and the dorsal tubes/pipes which probably weigh around 5 pounds each, a 25 pound tail, mostly bone and muscles, and a large head, containing a rather large brain, other organs, skull, and exo skeleton, which would add the head alone up to being roughly 30-40 pounds, so we're looking at a creature that weighs around 350-450 pounds atleast, which due to it's large head, probably would make it rather clumsy, watch closely how they wall walk in Aliens, particularly when Ripley is firing at them as they're walking along the wall during her confrontation with the Queen in her lair, and how it whirls around and hits Parker with it's tail, during the next to last scene of Alien. Kinda a clumsy brute, but powerful, no doubt.
And for those of you who are going to counter with the whole 'what about when Vasquez pins the Alien Warrior in the shafts during Aliens?" Well, as I said before, their head is one of the heaviest parts of their body, making them have quiet a clumsiness to them, couple that with a tight confined space, it isn't superior strength, it's all about physics, if you were a 300 pound creature, roughly 7'09 in height, and you were in a confined space fighting something much more agile than you, i'd say they'd pin you pretty quickly, no matter how strong you are.
Predators' physique (muscle, bone structure, etc) isn't that different from a human, Alien's muscles are more spread out over their body, hinting towards something we will not readily understand, Predators on the other hand, we can estimate they're similar to Humans, thus they wouldn't be as much stronger than us than something foreign would, it's so Alien, it would be much harder, while not impossible, I'd say Predators aren't as strong as a BEAR, but maybe like say a Gorilla, or a large Ape, probably stronger, seeing as Wolf, at the apex of his physical ability, was able to lift two 300 pound Xenomorphs in each arm, dunno if a Gorilla could do that, maybe, but they're both strong, Predators have superior technology, intelligence, Aliens have the better physical stats.
