Aliens: Colonial Marines

Now, we know both are going to come out fairly close to one another. But the big question is which one will gain more popularity and which one will be a generally better game.

So, I ask you. Which do you think will be more popular in terms of gameplay, reputation and over all prefference by the gamers' public?

I think AVP3 follows the classic trend of the previous AVP films, but I think Colonial Marines will bring some new meaning to gaming as marines. For one thing, the horror aspect. I hear this game will make you jump out of your seats! Well, that's what they said when they released beta testers to try it out earlier this year.

I think that, because of it's legacy, AvP will be more "popular". But then Britney Spears is more popular than Iron Maiden; thusly popularity is no indication of quality.

I'm going to mirror Ripley's sentiments. Iron Maiden are far superior to Britney Spears.

Same thoughts here. AVP will be more popular, but ACM will be a better game.

ACM because it will have more of a aliens feel to it as you can tell and it dont have predators jumping around with cloaks on and useing the cannon to blow everyone up! still avp3 will be great aswell and avp will be the more popular but ACM better game

It's far too early to tell quality wise, but popularity goes to AvP I'd suspect. Plus, as it's going first it's possible that everyone will have had their fill of Aliens before ACM arrives.
