In other news it's good to hear they're going back to the series' routes, I would like to see the mythos of the Acheron (Kane's Son) creature explored further, as in what the Xenomorph was originally intended to be. Like an unstoppable killing machine, that could not be killed. Maybe they'll explain why Kane was so much more powerful than his brethren in A:CM, maybe male aliens being in "heat" in all of the follow ups has something to do with it? Maybe Aliens are better alone perhaps? (Thoughts abuzz)
It,s very probable that the lack of a queen and the subsequent lack of hive mind control over the gigerbug made It the intelligent and strong creature It actually was. Same goes to Its appearance and size. Grim, fearsome and human like, Its malevolence becomes clear in "Lambert,s Torment" and the "Narcissus" scenes, scenes that, if deeply analized, make us all seeing that the alien is something darker and grim than anything we can think of, and goes far beyond the poor and pathetic concept of the alien being a mere space bug (thanks Cameron for your contribution), attitude of malevolence that only a human is capable of. The pressence of a queen in A L I E N S made the aliens a bunch of stunted weaklings (plus the fact they now could die as opposed to the first, so thanks again Cameron), but Its absence in A L I E N made of the gigerbug the creature of nightmare that a lot of us claim for a glorious return some day to the big screen..., maybe in the alien prequel, but I very much doubt that, although this time we have Scott over there, not Cameron, so there could be a chance for us to see an A L I E N 30 years after, not another bug more.
